El 21 de abril 2011, Se cumplio el primer aniversario del Observatorio de Dinámica Solar (SDO). La NASA reveló las primeras imágenes tomadas por la nave espacial.
En el último año, el sol se ha ido de su período en el año más tranquilo para la actividad que marca el inicio del ciclo solar 24. SDO ha capturado cada momento con un nivel de detalle nunca antes posible. La misión ha revelado imágenes sin precedentes de las erupciones solares, las erupciones de las prominencias y las primeras etapas de las eyecciones de masa coronal (CME). April 21, 2011 marks the one-year anniversary of the Solar Dynamics Observatory (SDO) First Light press conference, where NASA revealed the first images taken by the spacecraft.
In the last year, the sun has gone from its quietest period in years to the activity marking the beginning of solar cycle 24. SDO has captured every moment with a level of detail never-before possible. The mission has returned unprecedented images of solar flares, eruptions of prominences, and the early stages of coronal mass ejections (CMEs).
